Position Summary: We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sports Physical Therapist to join our dynamic outpatient team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in orthopedic and sports rehabilitation, with a commitment to helping athletes and active individuals recover from injury, improve performance, and prevent future issues. This role involves working closely with patients of all ages and athletic levels.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure (or eligibility) as a Physical Therapist.
  • CPR/BLS certification.
  • Graduate of Physical Therapy Program from an accredited American Physical Therapy Association school, BS degree or entry level master's degree.
  • CT active license

Nice To Haves

  • Board Certification in Sports Physical Therapy (SCS) or strong interest in pursuing.
  • 1+ years of experience in outpatient orthopedics or sports rehab preferred (new grads with strong clinical rotations encouraged to apply).
  • Advanced certifications preferred but not required - FMS, CDN, AAOMPT, ABPTS OCS,
  • Experience or interest in sports medicine and functional movement assessments
  • Experience with biomechanics preferred but not required
  • Strong clinical reasoning and manual therapy skills.
  • Passion for sports medicine and athletic performance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire patients through their recovery journey.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and diagnose musculoskeletal injuries and movement dysfunctions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on sports-specific rehabilitation.
  • Utilize evidence-based techniques including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, and modalities.
  • Collaborate with physicians, athletic trainers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Educate patients on injury prevention, performance enhancement, and home exercise programs.
  • Document patient progress and outcomes in accordance with clinic and regulatory standards.
  • Stay current with best practices and continuing education in sports physical therapy.
