About The Position

South Sound Physical & Hand Therapy (an affiliate of IRG Physical & Hand Therapy) is the premier provider of outpatient Physical & Hand Therapy in the Northwest, committed to strengthening communities by delivering exceptional care. They are seeking a Physical Therapist with a strong interest in outpatient orthopedics to join their Olympia team. This clinic offers a robust orthopedic caseload, including postoperative rehabilitation, acute musculoskeletal injuries, chronic pain management, return-to-activity progression, and functional performance training. The Olympia team includes OCS-trained therapists who provide structured mentorship, case reviews, advanced clinical discussions, and support for those pursuing OCS certification. The position offers enhanced compensation, AI documentation assistance, a patient-centered care model, flexible scheduling, and extensive mentorship with clear growth pathways, including sports specialization. Requirements

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current and valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
  • CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Nice To Haves

  • 1–2 years of experience in outpatient, orthopedic, or sports rehabilitation settings.
  • Experience working with athletes, active individuals, or sports performance programs.
  • Strong understanding of return-to-play progressions and functional testing.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive orthopedic evaluations and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
  • Deliver manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, and functional movement training.
  • Progress patients safely and effectively through rehabilitation—from acute injury to return-to-activity.
  • Collaborate with referring physicians, surgeons, and other interdisciplinary providers.
  • Document patient care efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with clinic and regulatory standards.
  • Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and long-term musculoskeletal wellness.
  • Assist in fostering a supportive clinic environment and contribute to team success.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all professional regulations.

  • Base Compensation: $86,500–$93,000 annually, depending on experience and certifications.
