About The Position

SSM Health Physical Therapy Orthopedic Resident Physical Therapist (PT) St. Louis, MO Interested in a Physical Therapy Orthopedic Residency program? Look no further! Together with Saint Louis University, SSM Health Physical Therapy offers a 12-month orthopedic physical therapy residency designed to advance licensed physical therapists in their orthopedics knowledge, skills and attributes . We accept external applicants and internal applicants (current employees of SSM Health Physical Therapy). Our mission is to graduate physical therapist who embody the ideals of excellence through advanced integration of evidence into practice, enhanced clinical decision making and reflective patient care. Program begins August 5th, 2025 . Strong applicants will demonstrate the following: A commitment to lifelong learning including the pursuit of Board Certification in Orthopedics Professional interests include serving the uninsured or underinsured in an urban environment A desire to develop as an instructor for an entry level DPT program A history of clinical practice or clinical education experience(s) in the orthopedic setting (minimum of 10 weeks) Strong fundamental skills in the application of examination and treatment procedures Advanced written and verbal communication skills This is a full-time, paid position with benefits. Requirements

Recent graduates of APTA credentialed physical therapy programs are eligible to apply as well as physical therapists that are new to the field of orthopedics and seek one on one mentoring.
A current and valid Missouri licensure (or eligibility for Missouri licensure as a Physical Therapist) and Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required.
