About The Position

Independence Rehab is proud to partner with Cascades Healthcare in delivering exceptional therapy services in the Magic Valley. We just opened two PTA positions : -The first one is full-time at Twin Falls Transitional Care Center . -The second one is a full-time f loating position between potentially Oak Creek Rehabilitation in Kimberly, Desert View Care Center in Buhl, and/or Lincoln Care Center in Shoshone . Which facilities you work at depends where you live. Requirements

• Current Idaho PTA license in good standing
• Associate degree from an accredited PTA program
• Organized, self-starter who enjoys working with the geriatric population

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of experience in a skilled nursing facility.
• That said-if you are a caring, passionate, licensed therapist who loves working with older adults, we would still love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients under the direction of a Physical Therapist
• Occasionally treat clinically complex patients with PT support
• Perform and assist with all types of transfers
• Provide therapeutic exercise, gait training, and balance interventions
• Carry out established treatment plans and document patient progress
• Provide patient and family education related to mobility and safety
• Collaborate closely with nursing and the interdisciplinary care team
• If you'd like additional support with any competencies, we are happy to provide training and mentorship.
