About The Position

Independence Rehab is proud to partner with Cascades Healthcare in delivering exceptional therapy services at Oak Creek Rehabilitation in Kimberly, Desert View Care Center in Buhl, and Lincoln Care Center in Shoshone . Independence is currently seeking a Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) who is happy to treat patients in Buhl, Kimberly, and potentially Shoshone. We need a therapist who is passionate about geriatric care, values strong outcomes, and wants to be part of a supportive, collaborative, people-first organization. Requirements

• Current Idaho PTA license in good standing
• Associate degree from an accredited PTA program
• Organized, self-starter who enjoys working with the geriatric population

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of experience in a skilled nursing facility.
• That said-if you are a caring, passionate, licensed therapist who loves working with older adults, we would still love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients under the direction of a Physical Therapist
• Occasionally treat clinically complex patients with PT support
• Perform and assist with all types of transfers
• Provide therapeutic exercise, gait training, and balance interventions
• Carry out established treatment plans and document patient progress
• Provide patient and family education related to mobility and safety
• Collaborate closely with nursing and the interdisciplinary care team
• If you'd like additional support with any competencies, we are happy to provide training and mentorship.
