They are seeking a Physical Security Systems Risk Specialist (Tech Specialist 2) to join their Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business Unit. This unit designs, engineers, integrates, operates, and maintains electronic security services, including intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, IT systems, perimeter defense, and command and control systems for federal, local, and commercial customers across high-growth markets.

Requirements

  • 2+ years in Risk Management, Physical Security Operations, or Systems Engineering.
  • Bachelors in relevant field (Security, Risk Management, Systems Engineering, etc.) +2 years physical security system experience or HS Diploma / GED with 8+ years of experience
  • Familiarity with physical security platforms (CCTV, Access Control, VMS) and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
  • Reliable attendance at customer site during work hours required by customer
  • Proficiency in data visualization (Tableau, PowerBI) and risk modeling methodologies.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes occasional nights and weekends
  • Exceptional interviewing and interpersonal skills; ability to translate complex technical risks into "business speak"
  • Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS
  • Exposure to computer screens for an extended period of time.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze system performance and recommend improvement
  • Analyze incoming service tickets and system logs to identify trends, recurring failure points, and systemic vulnerabilities.
  • Translate technical issues (e.g., a localized NVR failure) into operational risk metrics to determine how they affect the broader mission.
  • Maintain and evolve the Program Risk Register, ensuring all identified threats are documented, categorized, and tracked through mitigation.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards that visualize system reliability and risk levels for executive review.
  • Conduct structured interviews and workshops with cross-functional team members to uncover "blind spots" in current security workflows.
  • Work with engineering and ops teams to propose cost-effective solutions for high-priority risks.
  • Act as the "face" of the Risk Management program, presenting findings to stakeholders and fostering a culture of security-first thinking.
  • Influence budget and resource allocation by providing data-backed justifications for security system upgrades or process changes.
  • Identify gaps in current SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and lead the effort to update them based on risk data.
  • Communicate with customers, manufacturers, vendors and system administrators
  • Train internal and external stakeholders on risk management and risk principles
  • Organize and prepare detailed documentation of system performance, including service request records and analysis
  • Conduct in depth research and evaluate the research of Technical Specialists in order to evaluate potential risks to system or process reliability
  • Understand SOP and SOW documentation
  • Interface with internal and external customers demonstrating excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Conduct research and development on new system manufacturers (i.e. access control, intrusion detection and closed circuit television systems).
  • Perform all duties with minimal direct supervision
