Physical Science, Engineering, and Technology Adjunct Faculty Pool | Openings expected Spring 2026 - Greenfield Community College
About The Position
Adjunct positions are an "Open Pool" for the upcoming Spring 2026 semester. There may or may not be available openings at this time, however, when an opening does occur, the hiring manager will draw from the pool of applications we have on file on an as needed basis. Adjunct instructor positions are part-time, semester-to-semester, non-benefitted MCCC/MTA/DCE unit positions. SALARY RANGE: $1,397 to $1,688 per credit. Courses can run from one to four credits. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: Teaches course(s) in one or more of the following subjects: Engineering Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Materials Science and Computational Software such as MATLAB and Mathematica. Requirements
- Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or closely related field
- Demonstrated successful experience working with people from diverse social and cultural backgrounds, with a range of academic abilities
- Demonstrated commitment to the community college mission
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of successful experience teaching physical sciences at the college level
- Evidence of successful teaching experience in a community college, and
- Demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion in and outside of the classroom.
Responsibilities
