About The Position

NHTI Concords Community College Position Type: Part-time, adjunct Semester: Spring 2026 Compensation: $825 - $975 per credit, based on adjunct faculty rank (determined by education and experience) Position Overview: NHTI is seeking qualified adjunct faculty member(s) to teach the following courses. These courses provide students with essential knowledge in Statics and Strength of Materials, Reinforced Concrete Design, Hydrology/Drainage Design, with a focus on practical applications and real-world relevance. Course Details: The following courses are held in-person at NHTI campus in Concord, NH. Statics and Strength of Materials - ARET 150C (4 Credits) Course Schedule: Section 1 Lecture (3 Hours) Monday & Wednesday 1:00 pm - 2:20 pm Section 1A Lab (3 Hours) Wednesday 11:00 am - 12:50 pm Section 1B Lab (3 Hours) Wednesday 8:30 am - 10:20 am Reinforced Concrete Design CVET 235C (3 Credits) Course Schedule: Section 1 - Lecture (2 Hours) Tuesday 10:00 am - 11:50 am Section 1A Lab (3 Hours) Friday 8:30 am - 11:20 am Section 1B Lab (3 Hours) Friday 12:00 pm - 2:50 pm Hydrology/Drainage Design CVET 245C (3 Credits) Course Schedule: Section 1 Lecture (3 Hours) Monday 9:00 am - 11:50 am Course Description: Course descriptions are available at NHTIs Civil Engineering Technology program webpage. Requirements

  • Masters degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology is preferred or a bachelors degree with at least 12 graduate credits in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology or a bachelors degree in civil engineering, Civil Engineering Technology with 5 years of professional experience.
  • Must reside in NH, VT, ME, MA, RI, or CT

Nice To Haves

  • Combination of teaching and work experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with Canvas (or similar LMS) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Teach the assigned course using provided curriculum and instructional materials aligned with program standards.
  • Facilitate class discussions, assignments, and assessments to foster student engagement and learning.
  • Provide regular feedback and maintain accurate records of student progress.
  • Maintain professional currency in the field and comply with college policies and standards
