About The Position

The Physical Plant Service Worker I performs various manual tasks necessary to complete work order assignments for the Physical Plant.

Requirements

• Valid Texas Driver's License.
• This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.

• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work with supervision from the crew leader.
• Works as a team member to load, unload, and move furniture and equipment at different locations including file cabinets, supplies, and mail among university buildings; sets up and tears down all necessary furniture for special functions.
• Drives trucks and operates power equipment on trucks and transports equipment to be salvaged.
• Performs custodial duties and basic painting and construction work.
• Promotes safety and environmental protection by immediately reporting unsafe situations, spills, and accidents; following University safety plans/procedures/protocols; and participating in appropriate safety training.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
