About The Position

Position: Head Dance Coach at Pendleton High School for the 2026-27 School Year. This position will be open until filled. Some key elements of the job description for a Dance Head Coach are: High ethical and professional standards. Must have knowledge of a variety of techniques and strategies to teach and introduce dancing. Must have knowledge of team dynamics at the high school level. Must have a plan to create a productive relationship with youth sports organization. Establish a relationship with the community support groups. Be an appropriate role model for high school-student athletics. Must have the ability to work in a cooperative and harmonious manner to be part of a school-wide athletic program. Develop and implement an off-season conditioning program. Must be creative and involved in fundraising programs. All new hired coaches will need to complete the following prior to employment : NFHS Certification, First Aid Card (CPR and AED trained), District Fingerprinting/ Criminal Check, Completion of OSAA Concussion Test, Completion of OSAA Steroid Test, NFHS Guide to Heat Acclimatiozation and Heat Illness Prevention Course, Completion of School District and OSAA paperwork.
