About The Position

Phlebotomists obtain blood specimens from inpatients and outpatients; Phlebotomists prepare specimens properly to enable medical technologists to conduct analysis which aid physicians in diagnosis and treatment of infections or diseases. PHlebotomists perform general office duties regarding laboratory department activities; answers telephones. Phlebotomists distribute reports to authorized personnel.

Requirements

• Four year high school graduate or GED equivalent.
• Three months to one year experience in laboratory procedures related to collection of blood specimens.

Nice To Haves

• Specialized training program in medical terminology and phlebotomy procedures preferred.
