This position involves identifying patients and using proper technique to obtain specimens via venous or capillary methods, verifying and labeling specimens before leaving the patient, and prioritizing and transporting specimens within stated turnaround times. The incumbent may perform other duties, both major and minor, that are not mentioned below. In addition, specific functions may change from time to time.
