About The Position

This being an internal opportunity, only current UML Employees, irrespective of Bargaining units are eligible to apply for this position. The Program Academic Advisor position is a part-time time, benefited position. The position will work with faculty in the development and implementation of a new educational program in public health informatics and technology. The position will serve as the primary liaison with undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in the program and in networking to recruit new students.

Requirements

  • Master's degree with a major or minor in a health-related field or Bachelor's plus 2 year experience working in a higher education setting
  • Excellent communication skills including writing, oral presentation, and facilitation of meetings.
  • Willingness to engage in public speaking about the program.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office including good skills with Excel
  • Strong intrapersonal skills and ability to interact with people from diverse backgrounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with public health informatics technology.
  • The ability to orally present the program during interactions with people from diverse backgrounds will be critical.
