About The Position
The Department of Philosophy and Religion in the College of Arts & Letters at The University of Tampa is seeking applications for part-time instructors in Philosophy. Applications are accepted on a continuous basis and reviewed by the department as openings become available. Teaching assignments are on a term-by-term basis, potentially including fall, spring, and summer semesters. Requirements
- A minimum of a Master's Degree or equivalent (e.g., "ABD" status and in good standing in Ph.D. program) in Philosophy with at least 18 credit hours in philosophy
Nice To Haves
- College teaching experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Create a syllabus and course-related materials in accord with department guidelines
- Teach course according to departmental guidelines
- Provide meeting times outside of class
- Administer a final exam during the University-specified final exam period at the end of the semester
- Complete course grading and submit final grades through the on-line system
