About The Position

The Department of Philosophy and Religion in the College of Arts & Letters at The University of Tampa is seeking applications for part-time instructors in Philosophy. Applications are accepted on a continuous basis and reviewed when openings become available. Future teaching assignments are on a term-by-term basis, potentially including fall, spring, and summer terms. Requirements

  • A minimum of a Master's Degree or equivalent (e.g., "ABD" status and in good standing in Ph.D. program) in Philosophy with at least 18 credit hours in philosophy

Nice To Haves

  • College teaching experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Create a syllabus and course-related materials in accord with department guidelines
  • Teach course according to departmental guidelines
  • Provide meeting times outside of class
  • Administer a final exam during the University-specified final exam period at the end of the semester
  • Complete course grading and submit final grades through the on-line system
