About The Position

We are seeking a diligent and proactive Pharmacy Technician to join our team. This role involves working under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, handling the technical aspects of prescription entry, medication preparation, record keeping, and inventory control. The position is initially on-site for 30 days of training, transitioning to a hybrid model with one in-office day per week.

Requirements

Pharmacy Technician License in Texas.
At least 6 months of previous pharmacy experience.
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Excellent initiative and proactive work approach.
Strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize tasks.

Nice To Haves

Proficient typing skills.
Experience in customer service and prior authorization.
Experience in a call center environment.

Responsibilities

Enter and process new prescriptions into the pharmacy computer system following company policy and pharmacy regulations.
Manage refill requests, eligibility verification, and generate refill documentation.
Process third-party claims adjudication accurately.
Read and interpret prescriptions accurately, verifying patient information and physician authorization.
Calculate correct dosage volumes and day supply, converting between metric and apothecary equivalents.
Ensure all orders are processed accurately within the required Service Level Agreements.
Assist in maintaining the accuracy of software systems and work within specific program guidelines.
Support cross-functional tasks, including prescriber calls and shipment-related calls, comprising up to 30% of phone work.
Support escalations and assist with communications involving leadership, pharmacists, program management, and third-party hubs.
