About The Position

The Medication Management Supervisor provides day‑to‑day operational leadership and frontline oversight for the centralized Medication Prior Authorization team, supporting IU Health providers and clinics statewide to ensure timely patient access to medications. Reporting to the Medication Management Operations Manager, the Supervisor coordinates daily workflows, monitors performance expectations, ensures regulatory compliance. Key duties include scheduling, workload distribution, training and onboarding support, performance feedback assistance, and serving as an escalation point for workflow issues. The role collaborates closely with peers, clinicians, and internal stakeholders to drive workflow improvements, standardize processes and performance metrics, and maintain high levels of efficiency, accuracy, and service quality, while also fostering team engagement and contributing to the ongoing growth of the Medication Prior Authorization program.

Requirements

  • Requires previous supervisory/leadership experience.
  • Requires the absence of criminal history related to the ability to work with drugs.
  • Requires strong mathematical calculation skills.
  • Requires Pharmacy Technician experience
  • Requires knowledge of pharmacy and hospital computer systems and computer-assisted devices.
  • Requires strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Requires strong customer service skills.
  • Requires full proficiency typing and using Microsoft Office applications.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Requires Indiana Pharmacy Technician License.
  • Requires Pharmacy Technician National Certification

Nice To Haves

  • IV admixture experience preferred.
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
