Requirements

  • Communication: You will have to act as a liaison for regulatory agencies and you must also be able to generate verbal and written reports of your observations.
  • Ethics: This position requires that you are able to uphold the code of ethics in regard to medical science and human subjects.
  • Team Player: You must work well with others during conversations, projects, meetings, or other collaborations. This skill is dependent on your ability to communicate well, actively listen, be responsible and honest.
  • Experience in sterile compounding required, chemotherapy experience strongly preferred
  • Must be capable of wearing the required PPE during compounding activities.
  • Pharmacy technician experience required
  • Idaho pharmacy technician license, required upon hire

Nice To Haves

  • Medical oncology terminology and experience preferred
  • Sterile Compounding experience strongly preferred
  • Certified pharmacy technician, earned by 6-months of employment

Responsibilities

  • Prepares IV chemotherapy and pre-medications.
  • Dispenses chemotherapy and other IV medications to our patients and supports our medically integrated dispensary.
  • Maintains accurate and organized records of medications, supplies and transactions.
  • Ensures physician orders are processed in a timely manner.
  • Helps manage inventory and anticipates medication and supply needs.
  • Assists with grants, prior authorizations, and insurance eligibility and verification.
  • Displays professionalism and has great customer service and communication skills.
  • Complies with all applicable procedures, rules and regulations and adheres to health and safety policies and protocols.
