About The Position

Montgomery College is continuously accepting applications for Adjunct/Part-time Faculty. Applications are reviewed periodically based on student enrollment needs. The listing of a course as “TBA” does not guarantee an assignment, and the hiring decision is at Management’s sole discretion. The Montgomery College, Silver Spring, is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated part-time faculty member to teach Pharmacy technician classes. The ideal candidate will exhibit a high degree of professionalism, a strong commitment to students, and the ability to motivate and educate in an engaging manner.

Requirements

Bachelors of Science in Pharm or PharmD degree from an accredited US institution
Three years of Pharmacy experience
Demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity, inclusion, and multicultural competence in an educational and work environment and willingness to contribute to the College's strategic plan of inclusion
Access to a personal computer with virus protection that can connect to the internet outside of the work location (i.e., office, classroom, college campus)
Must be eligible to work in the United States without a sponsor
Employees must live in Maryland or a state where the College has payroll reciprocity (DC, VA, PA, WV, DE, MA)
Successful completion of a background check and degree verification (if applicable)
For degrees earned outside of the U.S., a copy of your education equivalency, conducted by a nationally recognized evaluation service, must be included in your application

Deliver provided curriculum in an engaging manner
Review material to prepare students to sit for the PTCB exam following the completion of the course
Collect and grade homework
Administer quizzes and final exams
