About The Position

What Individualized Care contributes to Cardinal Health MMS Solutions, a division of Cardinal Health, is a specialty pharmacy serving nephrology physician offices and clinics. Located in La Vergne, Tennessee, MMS Solutions is a full-service closed-door specialty pharmacy dedicated in dispensing renal-specific medications, nutritional’s, and ancillary supply orders directly to the patient's homes. Responsible for providing effective customer care to our nephrology base customers, our dedicated team must possess excellent communication skills, be detail-oriented and reliable as well as proficiency in computers.

Requirements

  • Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communications, with a desire to provide superior phone customer service.
  • Candidate needs to demonstrate initiative, time management, organizational skills, a professional demeanor, and positive attitude.
  • Must be willing to take on additional duties when needed.
  • Responsible and willing to function as a cooperative team member.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite as well as the ability to learn competencies in pharmacy information system
  • Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete standard tasks.
  • Works on routine assignments that require basic problem resolution.
  • Refers to policies and past practices for guidance.
  • Receives general direction on standard work; receives detailed instruction on new assignments.

  • Consults with supervisors or senior peers on complex and unusual problems
  • Registered pharmacy tech in the state of Tennessee required
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Call center experience preferred
  • National PTCB Certification preferred
  • Two-years of college experience or relative work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage moderate to high call volume.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and clinicians in a pleasant and professional manner.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Input patient data into the pharmacy information management system.
  • Resolve patient/customer inquiries with the most effective response.
  • Display professional approach with team members at all times.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Maintains knowledge of and abides by all HIPAA, Board of Pharmacy, and applicable federal and state regulations.
