Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas' campus includes Scripps Clinic Encinitas and an outpatient imaging center. We're home to notable specialty programs including a 24-hour emergency room, accredited stroke care, physical rehabilitation services (including a brain injury day treatment program), our Baby Friendly birthing pavilion and a Level II neonatal intensive care unit. This is a full time position with 8 hour varied shifts and every other weekend located at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas. The Pharmacy Technician II is responsible for performing basic pharmacy technician duties including:
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current California Pharmacy Technician License.
- Certification by a National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (CPhT) required within 6 months of hire.
- Minimum of 6 months' experience in current practice environment or in sterile compounding and 2 years of experience as a pharmacy technician in any practice setting.
Nice To Haves
- 2 years' experience in relevant practice area is preferred
Responsibilities
- Working under the supervision of registered pharmacists.
- Assisting with mentoring pharmacy technician I as assigned.
- Performing more advanced pharmacy technician duties that may include billing and/or IV Clean Room responsibilities based on site specific needs.
- May assist pharmacy management with administrative support duties.
