About The Position

This is a full-time, benefit eligible position located at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas. This position is for 8 hour shifts working every other weekend with variable shifts and hours (5:45am-2:15pm, 12:30pm-9pm, 4:30pm-1am). Why join Scripps Health? Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Pharmacy Technician License.
• Certification by a National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (CPhT) required within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum 2 years pharmacy technician experience.

Nice To Haves

• 5 years inpatient experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Obtain medication histories in an accurate, professional and efficient manner for patients newly admitted to the hospital while in the Emergency Department
• Contacting community pharmacies, outpatient providers, and patient family members to obtain needed medication information and coordinate care
• Complete assigned leadership roles in departmental projects and programs
• Performing basic pharmacy technician duties and more advanced pharmacy technician duties
