Pharmacy Technician Apprentice
About The Position
Hartford Healthcare is actively hiring Pharmacy Technician Apprentices for our inpatient Pharmacy Departments. All interested candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply. This is an apprenticeship to provide applicants with no experience in pharmacy an opportunity to explore a possible career path in pharmacy in a supportive environment to promoting professional growth. Pharmacy Technician Apprentices will learn to assist registered pharmacists in the preparation, dispensing and distribution of medications, maintains records and inventory, following procedural work routines, to ensure medications are ready and available for patient administration. This is approximately a 30 day temporary position
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Good communication and analytical skills
- Manual dexterity and basic keyboard skills
- Ability to perform mathematical computations
- Ability to follow instructions
Responsibilities
- Assist registered pharmacists in the preparation, dispensing and distribution of medications
- Maintains records and inventory
- Following procedural work routines
- Ensure medications are ready and available for patient administration
