About The Position

Setting Standards, Changing Lives The Department of Pharmacy is an integrated department with both centralized and decentralized pharmacy services and provides pharmacy services to NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell and Lower Manhattan Hospital. The scope of services span numerous dimensions, including clinical, policy/guideline development, distributive, quality, financial, information technology, education, and research. Pharmacy Site Director - Weill Cornell Medical Center Under the direction of the Senior Vice President of Pharmacy, the Pharmacy Director plans, directs, organizes, and coordinates all activities of the assigned Hospital Pharmacy according to Hospital policies, standard practices of the profession, and federal and state laws. Requirements

  • Completion of a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy or PharmD
  • Related Masters or Doctoral Level Academic degree and/or Doctor of Pharmacy degree
  • New York State licensure as a pharmacist or eligibility for New York State licensure required. Must receive New York State license within 3 months of employment. Pharmacists who are in the process of obtaining their New York State License through reciprocity may only engage in activities related to orientation, training, and project work.
  • Minimum 6 years recent hospital/institutional experience or related experience in Ambulatory Services
  • Documented ability to achieve targeted results in a complex, interdisciplinary environment, demonstrated problem-solving and project management abilities, and strong interpersonal and communication skills with a track record of excellent customer service and a focus on service excellence.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of an accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Director, Assistant Director, or Pharmacy Manager role
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Inpatient, Ambulatory, and Retail/Specialty Pharmacy Services
