About The Position

Accelerates resident's growth beyond entry-level competence in direct patient care and practice management and develops leadership skills that can be applied in any position or practice setting. Provides the opportunity to acquire substantial knowledge required for skillful problem-solving, refine problem-solving strategies, strengthen professional values and attitudes, and advance the growth of good clinical judgment.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
  • Licensed by the Washington State Pharmacy Quality Assurance Commission as a Pharmacy Intern or pharmacist.
  • If licensed as a Pharmacy Intern, Washington licensure received by September 1st, initial MPJE testing within sixty (60) days of employment.
  • If the resident does not obtain licensure within the first ninety (90) days, and if the resident is in good standing with the department and has met all other probationary requirements, the RPD and Manager of Clinical Pharmacy may extend the deadline while ensuring that a minimum of 2/3 of the residency (eight months of the program) is completed as a pharmacist licensed to practice in Washington.
