About The Position

The Pharmacy Billing, Operations & Compliance Support Coordinator provides centralized support to the Pharmacy program with a primary focus on pharmacy billing coordination, payer compliance, and documentation integrity. This role serves as the primary point of coordination for pharmacy billing documentation and payer follow through, ensuring clean billing outcomes, timely audit responses, and reliable cross department handoffs. The position acts as a key bridge between Pharmacy, Billing, and Finance/Accounts Receivable, while also supporting pharmacy operations and providing administrative support to pharmacy leadership.

  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams with consistency and accuracy.
  • Experience in healthcare operations, pharmacy administration, billing support, or compliance preferred.
  • Licensed Pharmacy Technician preferred.
  • Willingness to complete 340B certification after hire.

Responsibilities

  • Billing, Payer & Compliance Support Serve as the primary coordinator for pharmacy billing documentation and follow through, ensuring clean billing outcomes and timely resolution of payer related issues.
  • Manage purchase order and supplier workflows that support accurate billing documentation, reimbursement validation, and defensible audit trails.
  • Coordinate payer enrollment, re enrollment, and ongoing maintenance activities, ensuring documentation is complete, current, and submitted on time.
  • Lead pharmacy responses to payer audits by gathering required documentation, tracking deadlines, coordinating internal contributors, and ensuring timely, complete submissions.
  • Support POS and billing related administrative workflows by proactively ensuring required documentation is complete, organized, and readily available to Billing and Finance partners.
  • Maintain centralized, audit ready records to support compliance, payer requests, billing follow up, and operational continuity.
  • 340B Program Support Support the 340B team with overflow work during high volume or peak periods.
  • Assist with referral processing, tracking, and follow up.
  • Provide audit preparation support, and documentation assistance.
  • Help maintain reporting accuracy and workflow continuity.
  • Obtain and maintain 340B certification.
  • Pharmacy Workflow & Operational Backfill Cross trained to support central pharmacy workflow during high volume periods or staffing shortages.
  • Provide typing and operational assistance as needed.
  • Serve as flexible support to stabilize daily operations when clinical staffing is strained.
  • Executive Assistant & Administrative Support Provide direct administrative support to pharmacy leadership.
  • Track open items, deadlines, and follow ups across vendors, payers, PASO, Finance, and internal teams.
  • Organize audits, contracts, renewals, and compliance documentation.
  • Prepare drafts, summaries, and supporting materials.
  • Coordinate hiring and onboarding logistics, including interviews, account setup, and system access.
  • Reduce administrative load on leadership to allow focus on management, development, and strategy.
