About The Position

Pharmacist Resident at Providence St Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR. The Specialty Pharmacy Practice Residency is a one-year training program following successful completion of a PGY1 in an institutional practice setting that provides training as set forth and approved by the American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists (ASHP). Residents who successfully complete a PGY2 pharmacy residency are prepared for advanced patient care, academic, or other specialized positions. Requirements

  • Graduated from an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited college of pharmacy.
  • Completion of Pharmacy Practice Residency (PGY1)
  • Demonstrated computer literacy
  • Upon hire: Oregon Pharmacist Intern License Or Upon hire: Oregon Pharmacist License Notes: (1) Required within one hundred and twenty (120) days of hire, or as outlined by specific program policies, whichever is sooner.

  • Experience in hospital pharmacy practices as a student, intern, or pharmacist.
  • Demonstrated drug knowledge, IV knowledge, and compounding ability
