About The Position

The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Phantom Works team is seeking a Numerical Control Programmer (Composites) to support in Hazelwood, MO . Position Responsibilities: Provides expertise in numerical control, machining, programming and Design For Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) in support of new and ongoing projects. Establishes technical requirements for manufacturing and producibility. Plans and guides the development and integration of machining techniques, manufacturing methods, processes, software and equipment to support the design, manufacture and inspection of parts and assemblies. Identifies equipment and approaches, coordinates and assigns work and trains/mentors others. Works under minimal direction. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required. This position requires the ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only .

Requirements

  • 6+ years or more of experience with Numerical Control Programming utilizing Unigraphics NX, Vericut / Vericut Composites, and/or CAPPS NC.
  • 6+ years of work-related experience with an Associate's degree OR an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant programming experience utilizing Unigraphics NX, Vericut / Vericut Composites, and/or CAPPS NC within a 5-axis machining environment.
  • Relevant experience with machine tooling, metrology, and Composite fabrication/producibility.
  • Experience with CAD / CAM tools and systems. NX, CATIA V5 and Mastercam are highly preferred.
  • Experience programming multi-axis metallic parts and/or assemblies highly preferred, but not required.
  • Complete ability to utilize or create source geometry for generation of Machine Control Data (MCD)
  • Ability to select the best method of producing parts, tools or assemblies.
  • Primary materials are aluminum, titanium, steels and composites
