In addition to the Duties & Responsibilities listed below, some additional job activities and requirements for this position are as follows: Focuses on optimizing site environmental maintenance and performance Ensure required sampling activities are conducted and submitted on time as outlined by site environmental permits Ensure on time preparation and submittal of required environmental reporting to local/state/federal agencies Oversee adherence to site SPCC (Spill Prevention Control & Countermeasure) and FRP (Facility Response Plan) requirements Perform environmental compliance assessments and audits Hazardous waste process management Industrial hygiene program management Maintain a strong culture of compliance at the plant site Strong recordkeeping skills, documentation easily accessible, clear, and current Knowledge of air quality and water standards, monitoring, and reporting Working knowledge of programs such as, but not limited to: Storm Water, SPCC and NPDES Applies sound Process and Project Management Skills to deliver results Strong bias for action to address any site environmental deficiencies Use of quality tools and techniques to solve complex problems Standardizes processes, procedures, and techniques to ensure repeatability Serve as site subject matter expert in environmental regulatory areas including Continuous Emission Monitoring System (CEMS) requirements, Title V operating permits, waste and hazardous waste regulations Conduct periodic environmental reviews and assist facilities in resolution of environmental compliance issues identified Manage key environmental programs such as incident reporting, regulatory audits and inspections, procedure updates, etc. Communicate with regulatory agencies as necessary on environmental reporting and notifications Job OverviewEmployees in this role are responsible for assuring execution of the PGD Environmental Management System and ensuring plant water chemistry parameters are maintained in accordance with fleet recommendations.
