Overview Central Maine Healthcare is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving 400,000 people living in central, western and Midcoastal Maine. Responsibilities Rumford Community Home is seeking a Part Time, Personal Support Specialist (PSS) to join our team! Up to $2500.00 Sign-On Bonus! This position pays $18.25 per hour. Assists with the overall care of residents in cooperation with other facility staff as assigned by the charge person/Director of Clinical Services. Works in close cooperation with other team members to give personal care to assigned residents as needed. Assists in any way possible to provide a safe, homelike, and comfortable environment for the residents.
Requirements
- High School or GED preferred but not required.
- Must be eligible to obtain PSS within first 120 days unless already certified
- Student must complete certification program and be placed on the State Registry within four months.
- Residential Aide must have Residential Care Specialist 1(RCS-I), or Personal Support Specialist (PSS) Certification. May be trained within four months of employment.
- Six months to one-year experience preferred.
- Must be tolerant, patient and treat residents with dignity and respect.
