About The Position

We’re home to an interdisciplinary team of experts – ranging from primary care providers to mental health specialists and gender-affirming surgeons. What you will do as a Perioperative Coordinator : Secures and submits insurance required documentation to payers for surgery authorization Facilitates and coordinates appeal process if procedure is denied by insurance Communicates with other departments and/or outside resources as needed Educates patients and families regarding insurance questions and gender affirmation requirements Schedules gender affirmation surgeries for program Facilitates ongoing relationship with Financial Securing Team, hospital coders and billers program needs Monitors and coordinates patient surgical throughput process, with ability to complete any non-clinical support tasks What you will need: High School Diploma or GED 3+ years of Administrative Customer Service experience Some experience working with the transgender population Location: M Health Fairview Clinic and Surgery Center - 909 Fulton St. SE Minneapolis, MN 55455 Hours: 40 hours/week Benefits: This is a fully benefit eligible position: Competitive wages, Healthcare (including vision & dental), 401K, parking & tuition assistance and more! Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of Administrative Customer Service experience
  • Some experience working with the transgender population
