Children's Minnesota is one of the largest pediatric health systems in the United States, providing care exclusively to children from before birth through young adulthood. The 8th Floor department cares for all ages of children from newborns through young adult with acute medical or surgical issues, specializing in neurological concerns, and also general med/surg patients. The average length of stay varies from 24 hours to several weeks. This position coordinates and provides family-centered nursing care to infants, children and adolescents, utilizing the nursing process. The role is accountable for professional practice, including independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions performed in collaboration with other health team members. This is an MNA contract position.
