Per Diem Advanced Practice Provider - Inpatient Gastroenterology/Nutrition
About The Position
Join our dynamic and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider (APP) team at Memorial Sloan Kettering, where over 900 NPs and PAs are redefining cancer care! We’re excited to welcome a per diem Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to our Inpatient Gastroenterology/Nutrition Service. This role is to help cover our inpatient and outpatient nutrition service, autonomously managing patients on Total Parenteral Nutrition. The ideal Candidate will have previous inpatient GI and/or TPN experience.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited PA program
- NCCPA certification
- Active NYS license or be qualified for state licensure
- A minimum of 2 years of related experience as a PA is preferred
- BLS certification
- Current New York State (NYS) RN and FNP licenses/registrations
- Master’s degree in nursing, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility)
- 3+ years of related clinical experience
- Related National NP certification
- BLS certification
- Gastroenterology experience is essential; desired candidate will have experience managing TPN
- Skilled at anticipating and balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders
- Resourceful, with a strong ability to secure and utilize resources efficiently
- Clear and effective communicator across all levels
- Personable and able to build rapport with diverse groups
- Flexible and adaptable, adjusting approach and demeanor to meet evolving demands in real time
