About The Position

The Director, People Strategy will function as part of the JM Family HR Leadership team and will be responsible for partnering with the business to pursue complex people opportunities and aligning workforce solutions to business strategy. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to lead large complex organizational change initiatives through effective influence-based leadership while championing our culture and core values. In this role, the Director, People Strategy will provide HR thought partnership and connect with the business as a strategic people consultant and trusted advisor. The role will partner with various HR Centers of Expertise (COEs) to orchestrate resources to achieve desired results. The Director, People Strategy’s day will span many activities including serving as a thought partner, guiding leadership development, and providing strategic consulting all while championing our people programs.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent human resources or human capital strategy experience.
  • Experience supporting a Production / Manufacturing environment required.
  • Demonstrated success in planning and leading at both the strategic and operational level.
  • Forward thinker who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time as this role will be supporting locations in Deerfield Beach & Jacksonville Florida, Commerce & Norcross Georgia, and the Field. Sales/Service Organization located in 5 southeastern states, including FL, GA, NC, SC, & AL.
  • The primary position location is in Deerfield Beach, FL, and is fully onsite and not eligible for remote or hybrid work arrangements.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business leaders to determine talent implications of business strategy and develop a holistic people strategy, with a focus on talent and succession planning, organizational design, workforce planning, Business Unit (BU) people strategies, executive recruitment and development
  • Serve as strategic advisor and thought partner to BU Executive Management Team and other key senior business leadership
  • Serve as the business’s primary point of contact for strategic partnership, assembling cross-functional teams with COEs/BUs to accomplish objectives; influence and orchestrate resources to achieve desired results
  • Assess, diagnose and recommend tools and resources that align with business needs, in partnership in COEs as needed
  • Develop data-based insights to influence strategic talent-related decisions
  • Connect emerging research and thinking to people challenges and leadership opportunities
  • Provide leadership coaching and support to high potential senior leaders in the business and actively drive leader development
  • Serve as a trusted and active team member on the HR leadership teams, providing expertise and guidance to help build and grow expertise
  • Mentor and guide HR Relationship Managers in partnership on key initiatives, providing feedback and developmental support
  • Manage portfolio/prioritize business unit People Strategy initiatives
