About the Role We are looking for our first People Operations Manager to build and scale the HR function from the ground up. This is a high-impact, hands-on role where you will partner closely with leadership to shape our people strategy, culture, and employee experience. You’ll own the full employee lifecycle—from hiring and onboarding to engagement, performance, and compliance—while setting up the foundations that will support our next phase of growth.

Requirements

  • Strong ownership mindset—you’re comfortable building from scratch
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multitask
  • Familiarity with HR tools (Ashby, Rippling)
  • Basic understanding of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Familiarity with AI tooling and automation processes

Responsibilities

  • People Operations & Processes Set up and manage HR systems, policies, and documentation
  • Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy
  • Design for scale: identify bottlenecks, eliminate manual work, and improve process resiliency so that processes stay reliable as volume grows
  • Monitor data integrity and implement proactive audits to detect and correct errors in our systems and processes
  • Performance & Development Support performance review cycles and goal-setting processes
  • Partner with managers on feedback, development, and retention
  • Onboarding & Employee Experience Design and run onboarding programs for new hires
  • Act as the go-to person for employee queries and support
  • Compliance & Administration Ensure compliance with local labor laws and company policies
  • Manage payroll inputs, benefits administration, and vendor coordination
  • Reinforce consistent application of HR policies and procedures by providing process guidance and escalating issues appropriately
