About The Position
Join us for a hands-on, full-time summer internship experience at our Berthoud, CO location! Ursa Major’s Summer 2026 Internship Program offers students the opportunity to gain real-world experience in the aerospace and defense industry while contributing to meaningful, high-impact projects that support our mission and drive innovation in propulsion and advanced manufacturing. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented People Operations Intern to join our team! As a People Operations Intern you will gain hands-on experience across key HR functions. You’ll contribute to projects and initiatives in Talent Acquisition, Onboarding, Talent Management, and Learning & Development, helping us build an exceptional employee experience from day one.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field
- Strong interest in talent acquisition, business partnering, and employee experience
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn
- Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems and/or HRIS
Responsibilities
- Talent Acquisition Assist with job postings, candidate sourcing, and resume screening
- Schedule and coordinate interviews with hiring teams
- Maintain our ATS and ensure data accuracy across recruitment pipelines
- Help create engaging employer branding content for social media and job boards
- Conduct market research on talent trends and best practices
- Support coordination of career fairs or campus recruiting events
- Onboarding & Offboarding Assist in preparing onboarding materials and welcome kits for new hires
- Help coordinate orientation sessions and track onboarding progress
- Gather feedback to improve the onboarding and offboarding experiences
- Talent Management Support the tracking and organization of performance review cycles
- Help update employee records and assist with data reporting
- Assist in employee engagement initiatives and culture-building activities
- Learning & Development Research and curate learning content and training resources
- Help coordinate internal workshops, training sessions, or lunch & learns
