About The Position

Vicarious Surgical is seeking a People & Culture Manager to join our team in Waltham, MA. This role is all about making work life smooth! As our People & Culture Manager, you will be the heart of our HR Operations, ensuring everything from hiring to offboarding runs seamlessly. We are looking for a seasoned HR Generalist with 5–7 years of experience who is ready to own the core engine of our People team. If you love a mix of strategic recruiting and high-touch employee support, you’ll fit right in.

Requirements

  • Experienced HR Generalist: You have 5–7 years of experience in HR, with a strong foundation in generalist responsibilities.
  • Recruiting Specialist: You’ve managed the full recruiting lifecycle before and know how to find great talent in a competitive market.
  • Empathetic & Professional: You can handle sensitive situations with grace. You know how to balance the needs of the business with a deep respect for the individual.
  • A Resourceful Problem Solver: You’re skilled at teaching yourself new things and aren’t afraid to jump in and tackle a challenge, even if it’s outside your usual scope.
  • Great Communicator: You can explain complex HR or benefits topics in a way that feels warm, clear, and supportive.

Responsibilities

  • Full-Lifecycle Recruiting: You’ll lead the charge in finding our future teammates. From initial sourcing and interviewing to closing candidates, you’ll own the entire recruiting process and ensure every candidate has a great experience, regardless of the outcome.
  • Onboarding & Offboarding: You’ll manage all the moving parts of bringing someone new onto the team and ensuring that when teammates move on, their exit is handled with care and professionalism.
  • Operational Continuity: You will play a key role in maintaining the operational backbone of the People team, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
  • The "Go-To" Resource: You’ll be the primary point of contact for day-to-day questions from both employees and managers. Whether it’s a quick policy check or a complex management question, you’re there to help.
  • Benefits Guidance: You’ll handle daily benefits inquiries. You don't need to know every detail of every plan, but you’ll be the bridge—answering what you can and connecting our team with our external benefits consultants when needed.
