About The Position

The People & Culture Generalist is responsible for recruiting, employee relations and human resources legal compliance. Implements and administers employee policies and human resources procedures.

Requirements

  • Must have a strong ability to manage and maintain confidential information.
  • Must have strong knowledge in Leaves of Absence processes, ADA, FMLA, and CFRA.
  • Must have the ability to learn the Company Punctuality and Attendance policy and administer attendance accordingly.
  • Must be organized, accurate, detail oriented and able to monitor work for quality.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to multitask and work with changing priorities.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must use good judgment and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Must be a quick learner and self-starter, able to perform tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferred.
  • High School Diploma, or G.E.D., required.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Human Resources with leave administration responsibilities.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in recording information and running reports in HRIS, and timekeeping systems.

Nice To Haves

  • English proficiency required.
  • Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety procedures and work as safe as possible at all times.
  • Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures;
  • Performs New Hire Orientation(s)
  • Handles employee relations and exit interviewing.
  • Assists with conducting employee related investigations and prepares reports.
  • Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals.
  • Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual process improvement.
  • Develops, conducts, and tracks employee and supervisor training.
  • Assist with attendance tracking and leave administration.
  • Ability to manage confidential information.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere and interaction with customers, coworkers, and management.
  • Regular and punctual attendance.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • To perform this job successfully, must be able to perform each fundamental task listed above satisfactorily.
