We are seeking a People Business Partner (PBP) to support our Account Servicing Department (ASD) and Support teams, including Strategy & Finance and Legal. This role plays an important part in helping leaders strengthen their teams, support employee growth, and ensure our people programs are applied consistently and effectively across the organization. The ideal candidate brings strong foundational HR experience, solid judgment, and a collaborative mindset. You enjoy solving problems, building relationships, and supporting leaders in creating an environment where people can do their best work. You’re comfortable working with teams that have clear KPIs and performance expectations, and you know how to support managers in maintaining consistency and accountability. You will partner closely with the Sr. Director of People & Culture and the broader P&C team to deliver high-quality support, programs, and processes that help Forward continue to grow and evolve.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business, or a related field
  • 3+ years of HR or People Partnering experience, ideally supporting corporate/G&A teams and teams with defined KPIs or structured support environments
  • Strong understanding of HR fundamentals, demonstrated mastery in complex employee relations, and performance management
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships, communicate clearly, and expertly partner with employees and managers at all levels
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with shifting needs and priorities
  • A highly autonomous self-starter who can take initiative, manage time effectively, and follow through with minimal oversight
  • Demonstrated ability to apply sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and approach complex problems with a solutions-oriented mindset
  • Expertise in Canadian labor laws and working knowledge of U.S. labor laws

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting a global workforce is preferred
  • Experience with Lattice, Rippling, or ChangeEngine is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Drive the implementation and application of People strategies, collaborating with the Sr. Director of People & Culture and senior leadership to ensure programs support business goals and promote a high-performance culture within Account Services (ASD), Strategy & Finance and Legal
  • Oversee the rollout and support of retention strategies for the ASD and G&A departments, ensuring the attraction and retention of top-tier talent in these roles.
  • Lead performance evaluation processes, including goal setting, feedback, and development planning, to enhance employee performance and career growth across teams.
  • Provide consultation and execution support to the Sr. Director of People & Culture on the design and implementation of organizational structures and processes that enhance efficiency and support scalability.
  • Partner with stakeholders on workforce planning, talent acquisition, and succession planning to ensure the right people are in place to achieve business objectives.
  • Guide teams through organizational changes, ensuring effective communication and minimizing disruption to business operations.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and management, addressing employee relations issues, conducting thorough investigations, and resolving conflicts to maintain a positive and motivating work environment.
  • Identify training and development needs and work with the Sr. Manager of Talent Enablement to create and implement programs that support employee growth.
