Abby CareSan Francisco, CA

About The Position

Abby Care is dedicated to solving the challenge of family caregiving by training and employing family caregivers, enabling them to be paid for the care they already provide at home. The company is building a tech-powered, family-first care platform to deliver efficient care, improve health outcomes, and provide a best-in-class experience nationwide. Abby Care is rapidly expanding, partnering with leading insurance plans, healthcare providers, and community organizations, and is supported by top, mission-driven VCs. The People Business Partner Lead (HRBP) is a strategic and high-impact role, serving as the first dedicated PBP hire, reporting directly to the Head of People. This individual will act as a critical advisor to key leaders and executives, assisting them in building, leading, and scaling their organizations with a "family-first" mindset. This unique builder role is suited for someone who thrives in a high-growth startup environment, starting as an individual contributor deeply embedded in business units to drive performance and culture. The role also encompasses leading Talent Development and Learning & Development (L&D) initiatives, designing programs to foster employee growth in line with the company's rapid expansion. The ideal candidate is comfortable driving programmatic growth and is excited about the prospect of eventually building and managing a team of PBPs as Abby Care expands nationwide, shaping the company's approach to people and team development at scale.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of designing and executing talent development programs from scratch in a fast-paced environment.
  • You can zoom out to think about the long-term health of the organization but are equally comfortable "rolling up your sleeves" to solve immediate tactical challenges.
  • You are deeply aligned with our mission to empower family caregivers and bring empathy to every interaction.
  • You thrive in a "manual and messy" environment and enjoy the process of moving toward "structured and scalable."
  • Exceptional communication and coaching skills. You can deliver tough feedback with kindness and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Highly proficient in Slack and Google Workspace. You prefer agile, digital workflows over static files.
  • Comfortable using AI tools to work smarter and be a part of reimaging the role of the people business partner utilizing AI BP agents.
