About The Position

Today’s aircraft contribute around 4% of global CO2 emissions, equivalent to the emissions of 200 million cars. This is only going to increase: Air travel is forecasted to double by 2050, while meaningful efficiency gains using current airplanes have hit a wall. JetZero is developing a blended-wing body (BWB) aircraft. It uses up to 50% less fuel and will be built to accommodate zero-emission hydrogen propulsion. JetZero is the inevitable solution to sustainable air travel. The JetZero team We are experienced aerospace professionals and engineers, excited about the future. We’re looking for a curious, data-driven People Analytics Intern to join our People team for the summer. You’ll work on high-impact projects that directly inform how JetZero scales its workforce as we move from prototype to production. This is a unique opportunity to apply analytics and AI to real workforce challenges at one of the most exciting aerospace startups in the world.

Requirements

  • You are passionate about accelerating the future of aviation and crave the opportunity to join a team of like-minded individuals.
  • Currently pursuing a Master’s or undergraduate degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research, Management Science, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, or related)
  • Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis and modeling
  • Experience with SQL and working with large, structured datasets
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
  • Strong communication skills—ability to translate complex analysis into clear recommendations for non-technical stakeholders
  • Intellectual curiosity and a genuine interest in how data can improve the employee experience

Nice To Haves

  • Coursework or project experience in people analytics, organizational behavior, or industrial-organizational psychology
  • Experience building dashboards or interactive data applications (e.g., Streamlit, Dash, React)
  • Exposure to HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, BambooHR) or workforce planning tools

Responsibilities

  • Develop workforce planning and headcount forecasting models
  • Build predictive models to analyze attrition and retention
  • Design and build a PeopleOps hiring dashboard to track recruiting pipeline
  • Support ad hoc analysis on engagement, compensation benchmarking, and other people-related topics as needed.
