Pennsylvania Political Director

Working Families PartyPennsylvania, PA
1d$64,900 - $100,400

About The Position

About the Working Families Party The Working Families Party (WFP) is the progressive party for the multiracial working class, fighting for a nation that works for the many, not the few. We recruit, train, and support transformational candidates up and down the ballot — and run them to win. We believe that no matter where we come from or what our color, most of us want the same things. We want to earn enough to thrive, not just survive, and leave a better future for our kids. We want healthy food and clean water, safe neighborhoods and a safe world. We want to be free. The Working Families Party is regular people coming together across our differences to make a better future for us all. We’re a multiracial party that fights for workers over bosses and people over the powerful. We want an America which realizes the promise – unrealized in our history – of freedom and equality for all. The Working Families Party is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and multi-talented individual to fill the critical role of Pennsylvania Political Director. This is a full-time position. The Pennsylvania Political Director role includes responsibility for candidate recruitment and training, building and executing long term political strategy, assisting in our endorsement processes, and managing key in-state political relationships. It will also include working with state affiliates and partner organizations on electoral strategy and planning. The ideal candidate will possess significant electoral campaigning experience, advocacy, organizing, and/or other electoral campaigning experience, with at least two cycles of electoral experience and deep local political relationships in Philadelphia and Harrisburg. This position will be supervised by the Mid-Atlantic Political Director and includes opportunities for professional development in elections, fundraising, legislative work, and communications.
