About The Position

In this entry level management position and under direct supervision of the Clinical Director or Administrator, the Peer Recovery Team Lead supervises multidisciplinary teams, coordinates service needs, and collaborates with other services and agencies. The Peer Recovery Team Lead completes assessments and determines the appropriate level of services for new members served.

Requirements

  • Must have current and valid Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification through CalMHSA prior to hire date and maintained throughout employment.
  • Three (3) years of experience or part-time equivalent supporting individuals with behavioral health challenges
  • Experience as a beneficiary of the public Behavioral Health system of care
  • Must have personal car, willing to use for work and willing to transport clients in your car

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates the Telecare mission, purpose, values, and beliefs in everyday language and contact with internal and external stakeholders
  • Engages, inspires, and facilitates meaningful conversations with members served that assist the person to explore, create, and meet their own recovery goals
  • Responds to critical situations with a high-level of engagement and de-escalation skills that support a least restrictive environment for individuals experiencing an emergency related to a mental health/addiction challenge
  • Organizes team meetings to update and coordinate assigned tasks and work flow for team members
  • Ensures required peer services deliverables are met or exceeded by self and team members
  • Ensures accuracy of records and safeguards client confidentiality
  • Monitors documentation and other required standards for content quality and quantity
  • Collaboratively works with internal and external customers
  • Provides on-site recovery and peer support skill coaching and development
  • Monitors and supports staff attendance, required credentials, and performance development of team members
  • Travels locally to provide outreach to members served in the community (program specific)
