About The Position
DocStar Medical Partners has a new job opportunity for a Pediatrician (MD or DO only) in California. This is an outpatient position within an FQHC facility, specializing in General Pediatrics. The assignment is for 12 weeks starting May 2026, with a definite possibility of extension. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with administrative time built in. Patient volume is approximately 24 patients per day, with 29 scheduled and a 20% no-show rate. Walk-ins and same-day appointments are welcome if there is a high no-show rate, potentially leading to up to 29 patients per day. The role involves full scope General Pediatrics, including circumcisions. The pediatrician must be flexible to cover different locations if needed. The EMR system used is Epic, with a 3-week ramp-up period for training. The patient population is 75% Spanish-speaking and Filipino, with interpreter lines and virtual translation available, and most permanent staff are Spanish-speaking or understand Spanish. Pediatricians will typically be scheduled with 1.5 MAs.
Requirements
- Active CA license
- BC or truly BE (Board Certified or Board Eligible)
- 1-3 years of experience for MD
- Must be flexible on switching locations if needed
- Ability to pass a name clear process before presentation is sent
