About The Position

The Division of Child Neurology in the Department of Neurology at Stanford University seeks a aboard certified child neurologist to join the Department as Assistant Professor in the Clinician Educator Line . The major criterion for appointment in the Clinician Educator Line is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, teaching, administrative and/or scholarship appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill.

Requirements

  • MD, DO or equivalent degree
  • ABPN special qualification in child neurology certification or eligibility
  • Subspecialty expertise in neuropalliative care
  • Demonstrated commitment to teaching students, residents and fellows
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and disciplines

Nice To Haves

  • Fellowship training in palliative care desired, but candidates with robust clinical experience in neuropalliative care will also be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Care for patients in both the inpatient and outpatient setting
  • Teaching of medical students, residents and clinical fellows
  • Seeing outpatients and inpatients with palliative care needs
  • Seeing a wide variety of pediatric neurologic conditions in children of all ages in both outpatient and inpatient settings
