About The Position

The Division of Child Neurology in the Department of Neurology at Stanford University seeks a aboard certified child neurologist to join the Department as Assistant Professor in the Clinician Educator Line . The major criterion for appointment in the Clinician Educator Line is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, teaching, administrative and/or scholarship appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill.

Requirements

MD, DO or equivalent degree
ABPN special qualification in child neurology certification or eligibility
Subspecialty expertise in neuropalliative care
Demonstrated commitment to teaching students, residents and fellows
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and disciplines

Nice To Haves

Fellowship training in palliative care desired, but candidates with robust clinical experience in neuropalliative care will also be considered.

Responsibilities

Care for patients in both the inpatient and outpatient setting
Teaching of medical students, residents and clinical fellows
Seeing outpatients and inpatients with palliative care needs
Seeing a wide variety of pediatric neurologic conditions in children of all ages in both outpatient and inpatient settings
