The Department of Rehabilitation Sciences in the Beaver College of Health Sciences ( BCHS ) at Appalachian State University invites applications for a pediatric occupational therapist to provide services on our Boone campus and provide clinical education to graduate students. The primary worksite will be the Interprofessional Appalachian Institute for Health and Wellness Clinic on the first floor of University Hall on the Boone campus. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Provide pediatric outpatient evaluation and treatment services in the areas of sensory integration/sensory processing and feeding/eating. Provide screening evaluations for young infants as part of an interdisciplinary program for the early detection of complex medical disorders. Interact with other disciplines (speech-language pathology, social work, music therapy) in an interprofessional clinical setting. Provide clinical supervision for MSOT students in Level 1 and Level 2 fieldwork assignments. Document service provision according to clinic and payor guidelines.
