About The Position

The Department of Radiology at Children’s Mercy Kansas City and the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Medicine (UMKC-SOM) is seeking a clinical / academic diagnostic pediatric radiologist to join a highly specialized academic Pediatric Radiology group. This position offers a collegial work environment with autonomous management of pediatric imaging, including teleradiology access to subspecialty academic pediatric radiologists at Children’s Mercy Hospital. The role involves practicing within all aspects of pediatric imaging, with opportunities for subspecialty focus. Teaching duties include instructing radiology residents from multiple residency programs and pediatric radiology fellows. Research opportunities are available but not mandatory. Academic appointments will be through the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Medicine. The program has a CAQ accredited pediatric radiology fellowship program. Children’s Mercy and UMKC have experienced significant growth, and the Radiology Department at Children's Mercy comprises 25 radiologists with subspecialty expertise in all areas of pediatric imaging.

Requirements

CAQ-certified or CAQ-eligible in Pediatric Radiology
Willingness to be vaccinated if found non-immune to measles, mumps, rubella (MMR) and chicken pox (varicella) and/or without evidence of tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis (Tdap) vaccination since 2005
Seasonal influenza vaccine is a condition of employment
Ability to maintain professional relationships with fellow employees, patients, parents and visitors
Pass a drug screen upon hire
