Overview To provide high quality echocardiograms for interpretation and diagnosis by a Pediatric Cardiologist. To act as a preceptor in performing high quality pediatric echocardiograms for students, novice sonographers and fellows. Requirements

Associate's Degree Graduation from accredited sonography program, preferred and 3-5 years experience in Pediatric and/or Adult Congenital Echo, preferred or Bachelor's Degree from an accredited sonography program preferred and 3-5 years experience in Pediatric and/or Adult Congenital Echo
One of the following: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (ARDCS), Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer required upon hire
RDCS Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (ARDCS) RDCS or RCCS Required Upon Hire
BLS Certification Required Upon Hire

Responsibilities

Perform Pediatric Echocardiography on patients in age from newborns to adults and act as a preceptor for novice imagers.
Provide care with consideration of patient?s age, diagnosis, psycho-social characteristics and family stressors that affect ability to understand or retain instructions.
Maintain service excellence in all aspects of echo lab operations.
Maintain efficient operations of the Echo Lab
Demonstrate commitment to teamwork and learning
Participate in performance improvement activities designed to improve patient care and/or organizational processes
