Requirements

  • Experience supporting Windows‑based desktops and laptops in a professional environment.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, user provisioning, and enterprise software deployment.
  • Ability to diagnose hardware and software issues efficiently in fast‑paced clinical settings.
  • Strong communication skills for working with clinicians, administrators, and IT peers.
  • Understanding of healthcare privacy and security requirements (HIPAA).
  • Customer‑service mindset with the ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Must follow directions well.
  • Must be detail oriented

Responsibilities

  • End‑User Support — Provide hands‑on troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals used across Cottage Health facilities.
  • Software Installation and Maintenance — Install, configure, and update clinical and administrative applications, productivity tools, and system utilities.
  • Hardware Deployment — Set up new workstations, replace aging equipment, and manage device lifecycle tasks.
  • Ticket Management — Respond to help desk tickets, prioritize issues based on clinical urgency, and document resolutions thoroughly.
  • Network & Access Support — Assist with user account setup, password resets, access permissions, and basic network connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Clinical Environment Support — Ensure devices used in patient care areas remain functional, compliant, and available, coordinating with clinical teams when downtime affects workflows.
  • Security & Compliance — Follow Cottage Health’s IT security policies, support patching cycles, and help maintain HIPAA‑compliant systems.
  • Collaboration — Work closely with System Support Analysts and other IT teams.
