About The Position

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas is looking to add to our IT Services Delivery team and has a new opportunity for a PC Technician. This position is responsible for assembling, delivering and installing computer equipment, loading employee workstations with operating systems and software, and conducting tests to ensure full functionality prior to delivery. Requirements

High School diploma or equivalency required
Must be able to move and transport computer hardware safely (up to 80 pounds).
Must have a valid driver’s license and a driving record that qualifies for company automobile insurance
Some overnight travel may be required when visiting field offices

Nice To Haves

Technical classes or relevant certifications (such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) preferred
Previous experience as a PC Technician, Field Service Technician or similar role in a corporate environment is preferred.
Previous experience using an IT ticketing system preferred.
Previous knowledge and experience supporting multi-monitor workstations a plus

Responsibilities

Install workstations, monitors, and peripherals throughout the organization as scheduled
Baseload new workstations and load additional software as needed per employee
Test new workstations, monitors, printers, and related equipment
Provide desk side support to on campus employees
Inventory, process orders for, and deliver computer peripherals to employees either on campus or by mail
Prepare workstations for disposal by wiping or removing storage drives and documenting completed work
Assist the asset manager during all stages of the asset management lifecycle
Maintain the organization of workstation storage and preparation areas
